One-Shoulder Smocked Dress in Pimento
A one-shoulder dress in deep pimento, smocked through the whole body. The cloth is pulled into fine, even gathers so it holds close to the torso and still gives when she walks as it's all elastic. One shoulder stays bare; the other is covered by a short, dropped sleeve that sits off the arm.
The skirt falls long. Toward the hem the smocking opens into a loose fall — a break in the texture rather than a separate ruffle sewn on. A curved seam crosses the hip and keeps the column from reading as a tube.
